February 2009

I’ve hit the century tonight, this may be insignificant to some but to me I’m very happy – thank you, my little curious viewers 🙂

Cup of tea and swollen tonsils…

Well this was a very random ‘quick’ sketch – in between drinking a cup of tea and taking some painkillers!

One idea for Silja's site

One idea for Silja's site

One of many ideas to follow.

Well, when I find some free time I have a few little projects to complete.

A friend of mine has given me an old photo of himself on a horse from around 1968 and would like some photo manipulation performed, the idea in mind was to transform the ordinary riding attire of that period to the style of the ‘Confederate Army’ of 1864. Some serious googling will be performed no doubt!

Secondly I am going to design a selection of web banners for Silja Erg.
Silja is the creative mastermind of her own craft & jewellery business called ‘5erg’

Below is the current banner at the site, not produced by myself.

This is the current banner.

…or ‘coloring’ as they say over there

The idea of the competition is really simple, based on a Valentine theme, albeit gone now but the competition is still open.
You don’t even need any arty skills or three figure art applications… just a little imagination.
Remember when you were just a kid, a bunch of crayons and a pad full of pre-outlined pictures to colour in.

how we all see what ‘we’ see

I made sure when I submitted my entry that I never looked at any other submissions. Thus relying solely on what I saw without any influence at all.
After submission I had a peak and it strikes me as quite incredible how we all see things so differently.

What is Twitter?

Here is a definition as quoted from wikimedia.org

Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends (delivery to everyone being the default). Users can receive updates via the Twitter website, SMS, RSS, or through applications such as TwitterMobile, Tweetie, Twinkle, Twitterrific, Feedalizr, Facebook, and Twidget, a widget application. Four gateway numbers are currently available for SMS: short codes for the United States, Canada, and India, and a United Kingdom-based number for international use. Several third parties offer posting and receiving updates via email. By February 2009, Twitter had 55 million daily users.[2]

Twitter messages may be tagged using hashtags, a word or phrase prefixed with a #, such as #beer[3].
